Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our website or placing an order. By accessing our store or submitting a gold selling inquiry, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Right to Refuse Sale

David Roberts Pre-Owned Jewellery & Watches reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any sale or order at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or significant changes in precious metals market conditions. If your order is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of any payment made.

2. Pricing & Market Volatility

All product prices are set in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are accurate at the time of listing. However, because our inventory includes precious metals and gemstones whose market value can fluctuate significantly, we reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.

In the event of a significant market movement (such as a sudden and substantial increase in gold or precious metals prices), we reserve the right to cancel orders that have not yet been fulfilled, even if payment has been received. In such cases, a full refund will be issued promptly.

3. Product Descriptions & Condition

We make every effort to accurately describe the condition, materials, and specifications of each item in our inventory. All items are pre-owned and vintage unless otherwise stated, and may show signs of age and wear consistent with their history. Condition descriptions are our honest assessment and are provided in good faith.

4. Order Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors, stock discrepancies, or market conditions. You will be notified promptly and a full refund will be issued. We are not liable for any losses resulting from an order cancellation.

5. Gold Buying — Non-Binding Estimates

Any preliminary estimates provided for gold, jewellery, or watch purchases are not binding offers. All estimates are based on information provided by the seller and current market conditions at the time of inquiry. A firm, binding offer will only be made after we have physically received and assessed the item(s) using our professional testing equipment.

We reserve the right to revise or withdraw any preliminary estimate based on the actual condition and composition of items received, or due to changes in the gold spot price between the time of inquiry and the time of assessment.

If you do not accept our firm offer after assessment, your item(s) will be returned to you at your expense.

6. Shipping & Loss

David Roberts is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to us. We strongly recommend that all items sent by mail be shipped using an insured and tracked service. For shipments with an estimated value of $500 CAD or more, we will provide a prepaid insured shipping label upon request.

7. Returns

Our return policy is outlined on our Return Policy page. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms of that policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, David Roberts Pre-Owned Jewellery & Watches shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, the purchase of our products, or participation in our gold buying program.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
